
Here's a quick recipe for a flavourful Cajun seasoning. Use it on any protein before, grilling, smoking, roasting or frying for a hit of southern flare. Adjust the cayenne up or down depending on how spicy you like it.
Yield - 1/4 cup
Ingredients:
2 tbsps paprika (preferably smoked)
2 tbsps onion powder
2 tbsps garlic powder
2 tbsps dried oregano
1 tbsp salt
2 tsps ground black pepper
1 tsp dried thyme leaves
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together
Notes:
Use immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 3 months (it won't spoil, but will lose it's pungency over time)
Recipe can be doubled or tripled as needed
